----Newsletter----
What can I do to extend the life of my Sunday school
presentation materials?
There are a couple of items I would recommend. The first
thing I would recommend using would be a laminator.
Lamination film encapsulates documents and preserves
them. The plastic prevents the material from being
bent, getting written on and is great at preventing
damage from water and humidity.
Laminators are available in both pouch and roll designs.
Pouch laminators are most commonly used by churches.
These laminators use a pouch of plastic that allows
photographs, reports and other materials to be easily
placed inside. Once in the pouch, it can be run
through the laminator. These are great for various
projects.

Pouches are available in various sizes.
Roll laminators are typically used for high-volume use.
If you will be laminating documents for everybody in
your congregation, this may be the way you want to go.
Roll laminators use two rolls, one on top and one on
the bottom. The film is typically several hundred feet
long. The laminators are often wide and can laminate
several products at once.

I have found that most Sunday school instructors like
to use mounting board, often referred to as foam board.
Mounting board is used to place photographs and other
presentation material on a foam board, about 1/4-inch
thick. The board can be ordered in different sizes or
be manually cut as needed. The boards are rigid, yet
light. You can find foam-mounting boards by going here:

What is a Xyron laminator and would it be something I
could use at my church?
Xyron laminators are a type of cold laminator that
do not require heat for lamination. They are great
for laminating temperature sensitive items. Xyron
laminators use lamination cartridges that can be
easily changed out. Xyron laminators can be used
for double-sided and single-sided lamination, depending
on the cartridge being used. There are even cartridges
available for making stickers.
You could use a Xyron laminator for laminating a
variety of presentation material for Sunday school.
You could even make stickers if you are teaching a
group of children. You can find our Xyron laminators
here:

What would you recommend using for teaching a
Sunday school class of over 100 people?
For a large group of people, you may want to try using
an overhead projector. You have probably seen them
used in a local school. This allows you to write down
notes or display presentation material on a wall or
screen, making it visible to a large group of people.
They can even be used to display photographs or
paintings. For the price, they are economical and
a great teaching tool You can find our overhead
projectors by going here:
